There is now less than a month remaining in the public comment period on the U.S. Department of Education’s proposed rules on data reporting for teacher preparation programs (ending Feb. 2nd). As you return from the holidays, it is very important that music teacher educators use and share the resources in this post to get informed and participate.
NAfME has created a summary of how these regulations could affect music teacher preparation, and the Music Education Policy Roundtable has drafted a statement in response to the proposed regulations.
