The full schedule for the 2013 Symposium on Music Teacher Education is now available. The 2013 Symposium will be held on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, September 26-28. With 60 primary sessions and 130 poster presentations involving over 250 researchers, this event will bring together a wide spectrum of interests and opportunities for engagement within the field of music teacher education. There will be several major plenary sessions looking at critical crossroads being navigated by the discipline, and Karen Hammerness will present the opening keynote.
Registration, accommodations, and schedule information are now available on the 2013 Symposium page of the Society for Music Teacher Education (SMTE) website. The early bird registration rate is good through August 1st, and additional registrations will continue to be accepted through the start of the event. All conference attendees are encouraged to explore the Areas of Strategic Planning and Action (ASPAs) prior to the start of the Symposium. Each ASPA maintains a webpage listing its purpose and current projects. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with one or more ASPA groups during the Symposium.
We hope to see you in Greensboro!
