Martina Vasil is Assistant Professor of Music
Education at the University of Kentucky. She is a member of the ASPA, “Music
Teacher Educators: Identification, Preparation, and Professional Development.”
She currently serves on the American Orff-Schulwerk Association’s Social Media
Committee and is the Technology Coordinator for the 2017 Mountain Lake
Colloquium for Teachers of General Music Methods. Martina has publications in Update:
Applications of Research in Music Education and the Orff Echo. She
has presented her research at various national, regional, and state
conferences. Her primary research interests are culturally relevant pedagogy,
music teacher education, and secondary music education.
