The registration portal for the 2025 Symposium on Music Teacher Education is now open at https://butler.formstack.com/forms/smte_registration The Symposium will be held at Butler University in Indianapolis, IN from October 23-25, 2025.
Registration includes access to all sessions, the opening reception on Thursday evening, morning coffee and lunch on Friday and Saturday, and shuttle service between the conference hotel (Drury Plaza Hotel-Indianapolis/Carmel) and Butler University. Registration will be opening the last week of June.

$125 Day pass for Friday or Saturday for P-12 and community partners
For the first time, some sessions will be available for remote participation as attendees to live presented sessions, including keynote sessions and two rooms of presentations which will be accessible via a limited access Zoom link. Virtual participation registration will be $180.
On Saturday evening, an optional buffet will be held for interested attendees for $30, payable at time of registration.
We ask all who are planning on attending SMTE to register by September 23, 2025 at which point registration fees will increase. On site registration at an increased rate will be available as well.
A hotel block has been reserved at the Drury Plaza Hotel-Indianapolis/Carmel for $158 (+tax)/night, which can also be made at 800-325-0720 using the group number 10147284. This includes hot breakfast, happy hour snacks, and drinks. Shuttle transportation will be provided to and from the conference hotel and Butler University at the start and end of each day’s sessions.
For those who had a proposal accepted for SMTE 2025, please make sure to confirm your participation using the link in your acceptance e-mail by June 6, 2025. Acceptances for proposals were sent out in early June to the primary author from admin@smte.us
