She is currently a senior scholar at NYU&#8217;s Steinhardt School of Education, and is noted as a progressive educator and vice chair emeritus of the Coalition for Essential Schools. As a principal, Meier established a climate of trust and respect for teachers at Central Park East High School in New York City and has written widely on school reform, policy, and curricular matters. Her book, &#8220;In Schools We Trust,&#8221; has been widely cited.</p>

<p>During this review period, NASM encourages you and any interested colleagues to consider the documents, including their clarity and usefulness to your institution, and respond to the National Office. Specific suggestions for text changes, additions, or deletions are especially welcome. Prior to any comment, please indicate the specific document to which you are referring.</p>
