Collaborative Action for Change: Selected Proceedings from the 2007 Symposium on Music Teacher Education is now available. The book is based on effective presentations from the 2007 Symposium on Music Teacher Education, which focused on examples of successful partnerships and collaborations between music teacher educators, classroom teachers, school and district administrators, and other individuals and organizations. Welcome to the Policy ASPA

In anticipation to the upcoming SMTE conference in September 2009, we would like to invite all interested in submitting contributing research on policy thinking, practice and development. We would like to develop a critical mass for the discussion of policy studies in music education and its impact in the development of teacher education.
This site will also serve as a depository of information about policy issues in music education and SMTE. Documents of all kinds will be assembled and shared not only as a resource site, but also in preparation to the upcoming conference.

Publication opportunity: Arts Education Policy Review is encouraging article submissions. Contributors should make sure that any submission is a policy article, complete with policy recommendations about arts education from prekindergarten through twelfth grade.
