Agenda
In order to better meet the broad goals defined by the original ASPA I’d like to propose an agenda based on six action goals identified at the 2007 SMTE Symposium. Each goal is listed below with options for comments and input from members.
1. Develop representation on other ASPAs to provide a voice for social justice.
2. Develop an infrastructure on the ASPA website to support enhanced communication among members
3. Use the website to serve as a clearinghouse for resources (with links to research specialists, programs, conferences, grants and funding)
4. Spearhead discussion leading to new research
5. Propose a special focus issue for MEJ on social justice in music education – In Progress
6. Develop an agenda for future projects/research
